Part of a National Network
The Kessler Scholars Program at Brown University is part of the Kessler Scholars Collaborative, a national network of 16 colleges and universities committed to supporting first-generation and limited-income students.
Through this network, Scholars are connected to a broader community beyond Brown, with opportunities to engage, learn, and grow alongside students across institutions.
“ This program has taught me to reframe my first-generation and low-income background as one I should be proud of declaring openly. It taught me that conversations about these identities should not be marked as off limits. I am now comfortable with talking about these identities that I have tried to hide away for so long. ”
